Morgan O’Brien is the President and Founder of Throtl Tech, a new logistics platform built to streamline communication and navigation in the oil and gas industry. A Bradford, Pennsylvania native, Morgan has spent his entire career in oil and gas operations and technology, giving him a first-hand understanding of the challenges that Throtl Tech is designed to address. Before founding Throtl Tech, Morgan spent six years at Deep Well Services, rising from BD Manager to Chief Technology Officer, where he led engineering, analytics, and technology strategy. Earlier in his career, he held progressively senior roles at XTO Energy, including Operations Superintendent, and Drilling and Completions Engineer, and served as a Drilling Engineer at EQT Corporation and Pennsylvania General Energy. He began his career in the industry working in his hometown at American Refining Group. Morgan holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from Washington State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Alfred University. With deep technical expertise and years of hands-on experience across drilling, completions, and engineering leadership, Morgan brings a practical perspective to innovation in oil and gas technology. He looks forward to sharing insights on how Throtl Tech is transforming the industry at this year’s event.
