Gideon O. Powell is the CEO of Cholla Inc., where he leads hydrocarbon exploration and has expanded the company into Bitcoin mining, data centers, and venture capital. Previously, as Director of Acquisitions & New Ventures, he spearheaded Cholla’s growth in the Permian Basin, achieving significant expansion and a major exit. His work focuses on CO2 utilization and leveraging flexible loads, such as Bitcoin mining, to support grid stability with renewable energy. Passionate about energy abundance, innovation, and criminal justice reform, Gideon supports Stand Together and serves on the MIT Energy Club’s Advisory Board.
