Ector County Judge Dustin Fawcett took office in January of 2023 after winning his Republican Primary against the sitting incumbent. Judge Fawcett began his work in public policy as a legislative staffer in the Texas House of Representatives which led to a passion for service in Ector County. Fawcett subsequently worked for the Midland Odessa Transportation Alliance as Vice President, focusing on transportation policy issues on behalf of the counties of Ector and Midland as well as the cities of Midland and Odessa. Since taking office, Judge Fawcett has continued his dedication to service as a “Solution-Oriented Republican”, focusing on solving issues that face his community through good governance principles. This has led to the initiation of major infrastructure projects including his County Courthouse, Juvenile Detention Facility, County Airport improvements, Library, Coliseum, and new cemetery grounds. Judge Fawcett is married to his beautiful bride Jennifer who together have three children, Maggie (6), Mia (4), and Colt (1).
