Srimonto Ghosh is General Manager & Head, AI infrastructure Solutions at Chevron Power Solutions, a position he assumed in September 2024. In his role, he is responsible for directing, developing, and managing new lower carbon power assets and ventures. The CPS team is developing multiple GW scale power projects with future low carbon pathways to serve the fast-growing artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure with focus in the U.S. The team is leveraging Chevron strengths in natural gas value chain, reliable power supply expertise and investments in carbon capture technology. Additional elements of the solutions space include integrating renewables and potentially geothermal.
Srimonto has extensive experience in the power value chain for both thermal developments, renewables, advanced geothermal, and emerging technologies. He has worked on gas IPP power projects development for Texaco in Thailand, and the U.S. More recently he has led Chevron’s deployment of behind the meter (BtM) solar projects for our operations; and prior, had a renewables business serving C&I customers in India.
Previously, Srimonto served as the Chevron New Energies VP of Origination and Customer Solutions, where he managed sales, customer engagement & solutions development to build market share for New Energies (CNE) businesses in carbon capture, utilization & storage, hydrogen, offsets, and emerging technologies.
Ghosh brings over 28 years of experience from across the energy value chain in upstream, midstream, and power, including eight years in new energies businesses. Srimonto joined Chevron (Texaco) through the MBA leadership development program and has held diverse roles with increasing responsibility over 19 years with the company in upstream oil & gas development, LNG and power. Outside Chevron he has worked with Reliance Industries, Jacobs, and been an energy-focused entrepreneur for five years with a successful exit.
Srimonto is a lean six sigma blackbelt, holds a B.E. in Mechanical from MIT, Manipal, India, and an MBA from University of Maryland.
