Prashant Khorana is a Director at Wood Mackenzie, where he leads power and commercial power advisory across M&A, and power strategy mandates. Over a decade at WoodMac, he has advised on $20B+ of transactions spanning utility-scale solar, battery storage, wind, and data center power — working with PE funds, sovereign wealth vehicles, IPPs, and hyperscalers across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

His work sits at the intersection of power markets and digital infrastructure. Prashant scoped and delivered WoodMac’s first U.S. data center power engagement and has since authored power-market impact frameworks adopted by hyperscaler investor relations teams. He brings buy-side rigor to power underwriting: his BESS modeling work — covering nodal pricing volatility, merchant revenue stacks, and levered IRR sensitivity — has been cited by North American project finance banks, and his data center advisory covers the full stack from interconnection strategy to BTM generation and PPA structuring.

Before his current role, Prashant served as Director of Data Product for WoodMac’s renewables asset valuation platform, converting proprietary power market datasets into underwriting tools now standard for $2B+/quarter in client diligence. He holds an MBA from HEC Paris and an honors degree in Financial Mathematics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
